good grief. i think in America she wouldn't have been revived more than 10x maximum. 114 is medical overkill. if her heart just so happened to quit that many times, don't you think it might've been her 'time?' $10 says she will be dead within a year anyway unless they hook her up to a machine. if they do you can be sure the hospital will suck her for all shes worth then pull the plug. that's life.

Why don't they put in an internal defibrillator, my wife had one. If her heart stopped it would go off automatically. She said it was like being kicked in the chest by a mule, but it worked well for a while until her heart got too bad for even that. The article says she's got one... Another series of shocks were administered before medics finally stabilised her. She has now been fitted with a mini-defibrilator next to her heart and controls her condition with heavy medication. I was going to ask for $10 since she survived a year since it happened, but I guess a mini defibrillator does count as a machine. The heart is like any muscle, under the "right" conditions you can be... [More]

Wow. She must have had some serious money or dang good insurance. In the states, after 5-7(or whatever) shocks they usually let you go permanently night-night. She won't have needed either. Both hospitals she were at were NHS. However, 114 times does seem like overkill.

But it wasn't 114 times right after one another, like you see on the TV shows "Clear... zap... clear... zap" 114 times. It was over 30 hours. She obviously had periods of normality between them. Each time they shocked her was a separate incident. You can't just not try to save someone because their heart stopped two hours ago and now it stopped again.

"Woman brought back from the dead 114 times" um, no. Her heart was restarted 114 times. She didn't die once. The only thing that was brought back from the dead was this lame story. Nobody has ever been brought back from the dead. Not once, not ever.

Healthcare in Wales is mainly provided by the country's public health service, NHS Wales, that provides healthcare to all UK permanent residents that is free at the point of need and paid for from general taxation. If by good insurance you mean..she had free Universal Healthcare provided by the Govt...then yes...she had great insurance

Nobody has ever been brought back from the dead. Not once, not ever. Jesus did...but I guess techincally...as part of the holy trinity..Jesus is God...so i can why you wouldnt want to count him.
