No, i'm totally surprised shocked they could conceive even contemplate such a thing. For more safer roads..prompt & efficient revenue raising? So absolutely true, in France motorists are the cash cows of revenue service, cops are receiving bonuses after a certain quota of tickets, and when they don't have it they lie. I experienced that, when I called the cop a liar he want to arrest me, my US passport saved from the arrest but not from the ticket. A man was arrested for speaking on the phone while driving yet he didn't have a cell phone in the car...

That type of satellite is extremely expensive and used by the military, not for speeding tickets. Rather, the cameras used for this are earth based. The ONLY connection with satellites is to gather GPS. Read the article again.

I thought you were saying that the overall system is not used for imaging in any way. But yes, you are correct of course...the cameras simply communicate with satellites to track cars via GPS.
