Climate change affecting how oceans function

Scientists have expressed concern over the way in which climate change is affecting how the world's oceans function.
Warnings have been issued to emphasise how drastic changes in the world's oceans could have disasterous consequences for humans as the very capacity of the planet to support us may be under threat.
Scientists have sounded alarm bells about how growing concentrations of greenhouse gases are driving irreversible and dramatic changes in the way the oceans function, providing evidence that humankind could well be on the way to the next great extinction.

No it's a theory. Theories are not guesses. They are a testable statement that currently best explains existing facts. A guess is a prediction made without facts. a theory is based upon evidence. the only evidence we have is over the last 100 years. before that we are looking at air bubbles in ice, that is where the guess comes in. because what gets trapped in a bubble is what the atmo is like over the area where the ice formed. and of course there is no way for gases to get into said bubble after it has formed right,

Because tree's aren't a profitable solution to this "problem". they could be if we allowed them to be cut down after they mature.

he only showed you 100 years because that is all we have recorded. everything else is a guess. as for the climate change affecting the oceans. that is how our planet works. when you flood the system with fresh water the conveyor belt breaks down thus plunging us into an ice age sometimes a mini ice age. the other way is to raise the ocean level high enough for the gulf stream to enter the arctic ocean thus melting the sea ice there and flooding the ocean with fresh water and plunging us into a real ice age. And of course, you gotta love scientist with agendas, right? http://www.forbes.com/2010... [More]

they could be if we allowed them to be cut down after they mature. Yes, I think that people would rather complain and hate than actually go out, get their hands and feet dirty while planting a tree. I think the solution is not legislation, since everyone knows legislation nowadays is about as worthless as it gets. Get out there and plant trees, one and all, if you are so concerned about global warming. Research (found in alphagalileo) is indicating that planting a small forest around coal plants will greatly reduce the pollution that comes from the coal plant. Yet even here, I see nothing at a... Because tree's aren't a profitable solution to this "problem". Obviously Gore cares about profit. You cannot see his movie without dropping money. I will not see his movie until it is free and easy to access. I will not intentionally buy a mind-set someone else wants to push on me.

http://www.discoveryon.info/2010/05/new-deep-current-found-in-southern.html New deep current found in Southern Ocean In Science May 27, 2010 Scientists claim to have located a very strong deep current in the Indian Ocean sector of Southern Ocean, which is an important part of the network that influences climate patterns. The climate change learning is not over. I reserve judgement until I can make an fully educated opinion on climate change.

And there is more to the question, why are there no world-wide tree-planting campaigns? They are strangely and questionably absent. Sure does make ya wonder about all this man-made climate stuff. Maybe they don't think man can do anything about it now that man created it. LOL. Tree-planting is indeed a long-term commitment.
