Labourer survives with half his head missing

A 28-year-old labourer was left with half his head missing after falling 25 feet on a building site.
Suffering extensive head injuries Alan Hind lost part of his skull and had to have a section of his brain removed. Astonishly he survived the ordeal and later had a titanium plate fitted to protect his brain in place of the missing skull section.
He was helping to tear down a building without any safety training when a fall from 25ft changed Alan Hind's life and features forever. Left with half a head and brain damage, the 28-year-old labourer today welcomed the conviction of of his boss who was found to have breached safety laws at the work site.

I would rather be dead than live with being mentally handicapped for the rest of my life. This is exactly what I was thinking. I wouldn't want to live if I couldn't live at my 100% and I'm sure my family wouldn't enjoy seeing me that way either. This is a sad story

For some unknown reason I kept reading labrador, why would you train a labrador to pull down a building? I think I'm missing half a head too.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I wouldn't want to live if I couldn't live at my 100% and I'm sure my family wouldn't enjoy seeing me that way either. This is a sad story Agreed, however, despite all his damage, he appears to still be quite sentient and undeniably, he's probably glad to be alive. Granted life will never be the same for him. He's really lucky to have survived the fall -- most don't.
