The shirt you spray on: clothes in a can

Spanish designer Dr Manel Torres has spent 10 years developing clothes that can be sprayed on to the body.
Known as Fabrican the spray-on clothes come in an aerosol form that is simply applied to the skin where needed and sets almost straight away in to a physical fabric that can be taken off, washed and reworn time and again.
Rummaging through a drawer, grabbing a T-shirt and slipping it over your head would certainly be simpler. But some of us are willing to put a little more effort into our wardrobes. The result? A shirt that fits so snugly it looks as if it has been sprayed on to the body. Actually, it has.

Oh gods... bad enough finding decent clothes my size... Thoughhhhhhhhh would make cos-playing certain characters a lot easier. I'll never go to another science fiction convention again if that's mass marketed. Too many people in skin tight body suits like EWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Oh man, the people that shop in Wal-Mart are bad enough now... If this idea actually becomes available to general consumers I'll never set foot in a Wal-Mart again. What do you mean again?!?!?!?! But I agree, 90 percent of the people that would use this product would make 100 percent of us sick!

That would be awesome to have you never know when you will need a new shirt

I love how the first few comments on this thread started with hitting on girls. Nevertheless, it wouldn't really work with hair and I assume that might be a problem for underwear too. Unless everyone decides to wax everything off... haha. I agree it would be great if people with great bodies and assets get into this trend. Unfortunately, we all know it won't end there. There were all kinds of people using this, including new clothing styles, and don't forget the number of dressed up wangs you would have to see on your way out. It would be kinda great if we lived in the greek times, but definit... [More]

Didn't those photos look a bit fakey? Anyway, I like baggy shirts best, they hide several unbecoming curves....unless you held your breath as you were spraying!

This sounded like a good idea when I was about eight years old and started reading science fiction. it's time has definitely passed, at least in my book

hmm take 15 minutes to empty a whole can of cotton onto my torso or throw on my shirt from yestarday?...considering people eat t.v dinners every night just to avoid the 10 minutes it takes to make decent food i dont think this idea is commercially viable. its neat, but not realistic.

The Bob and Tom radio show was making fun of this today. Their scenerio was as follows: So, you're on the way to work and you realize you forgot your panties... what do you do? Just reach in the glove compartment and grab your handy can of spray on clothing. Just hope you don't grab the can of de-icer by mistake. LOL
