Scientists in Japan are to unveil a new robot from Panasonic that can wash and dry people's hair.
The machine uses two robotic arms with eight fingers on each, it begins the cycle by measuring the dimensions of the user's head so that it knows precisely where to apply pressure. To top to it off the Panasonic-built device will even dry the user's hair as well, it is believed the machine will be used in hospitals to take some of the workload off health-care workers.
The Japanese robot, created by scientists at Panasonic Corporation, has been created to replicate the hands of a human hair stylist, and is designed to help with the care of the country's "silver generation".
