Jupiter's southern equatorial belt which disappeared in May is showing signs of a reappearance.
Signs that the prominent brown stripe may be making a comeback center around a small white dot above the location the stripe used to be as seen in photographs taken by amateur astronomers.
A prominent, brownish stripe in Jupiter's southern hemisphere that vanished completely in May could soon return, suggest photographs taken by amateur astronomers.

Im not too worried about the stripes, just so long as the Great Red Spot stays where it is.
