History records a number of sightings of "airships" in America during the 19th century.
One particuarly notable incident occured in Texas in 1897, a strange object was seen flying through the skies before colliding with a windmill, showering debris over a wide area. The body of a single pilot was recovered from the wreckage and was described as "not of this world."
By far the most detailed (and most dramatic) encounter between cowboys and aliens occurred in 1897 Texas. This account ran in the April 19 Dallas Morning News: "About 6 o'clock this morning the early risers of Aurora (Texas) were astonished at the sudden appearance of the airship which has been sailing throughout the country.

UFOs have been seen and reported from all over the world for centuries... SO WHAT! I still havent seen anything that convinced me that one of them where made by ET.

I'm looking forward to watching this movie. I don't think that it even remotely validates the ETH in any way, but it sure does look like a fun romp. Besides, it has one of my favorite actors of all time in it. Harrison Ford is awesome. Cowboys & Aliens is very entertaining and has some great action sequences. Harrison Ford is better than I've seen him in a while but still meh. I guess you like him for his older movies. Hollywood Homicide anyone? Daniel Craig, on the other hand, Super 8 was the better of the two summer alien movies, imo.

I haven't seen Super 8 yet but I plan to.

I'll take Irrelevant References for 600 Alex... Um... what is someone's attempt to subtly call me a cynic? Subtly?

Subtly? Oh I understand. Suggesting that a Hollywood movie doesn't validate the ETH is very cynical. Yep. Bad cynical skeptic booN. Makes perfect sense to me...

Someday, Hazzard, you might actually write a different post, one with a little more substance and complexity. I'm still waiting for THAT Exhibit A. LOL.

I think you realize that's not what I said, but no matter. -- Actually I don't realize what you were trying to say. Perhaps you can clarify?

Actually I don't realize what you were trying to say. Perhaps you can clarify? All right.

Too many people crying wolf for me. I had a friend that thought life started on earth because the cosmic version of a RV motor home pulled over and dumped it's holding tank. I tend to think because we humans are so different than the other species of the planet that we may be the aliens. Possibly a DNA experiment gone bad, or the results of a crashed ship with a broken radio. Humans have burned their own librarys to many times for my taste. Makes me wonder what information was lost. The wonders of the earth were not built by the incapable.
