New radar could give soldiers x-ray vision

MIT students are devising a way to give humans x-ray vision using a series of signal amplifiers.
Although still in its infancy, it is hoped that this new technology will someday allow soldiers to see through the walls of buildings to check if they are occupied by hostiles before entering or to provide aid to people in urban combat zones.
X-ray vision is possible for Superman, but in the real world, it’s a lot harder to do. However, a couple of guys at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have found a way to duplicate –- sort of -– Superman’s amazing feats.

wont it increase the chances of people getting cancer using x-rays just to see if people are inside a building?

wont it increase the chances of people getting cancer using x-rays just to see if people are inside a building? They aren't using actual X rays. They use the term x-ray just to describe what they are doing. They are using radio waves or the wave they use for radar

can they see through clothing too?

Probably not. The waves could be just heat sensors.

I would hope this would one day become an augmentation. I didn't ask for this.
