New research has suggested that we tend to assign human traits to different types of car.
Some cars were found to suggest hostility or sadness, while others suggest traits ranging from happiness to submissiveness. The findings may help scientists to understand how drivers react to different cars they encounter on the roads.
Researchers have found that people instinctively attach human personality traits to cars, saying that cars with wide radiator grilles and narrow headlights are dominant and aggressive, while those with large windscreens have childish and happy "faces".
