A 70-million-year-old fossilised nest containing 15 jeuvenile dinosaurs has been found in Mongolia.
It is thought that the baby Protoceratops were buried in sand which explains how they were so well preserved. The find helps to provide unique insights in to the parental behaviour of the adult dinosaurs and indicates that the babies were kept in the nest and looked after for some time before they were big enough to go it alone.
A 70-million-year-old nest of the dinosaur Protoceratops andrewsi has been found with evidence that 15 juveniles were once inside it, according to a paper in the latest Journal of Paleontology.
