Families settling down to a showing of Madagascar 3 ended up with Paranormal Activity 4 instead.
The untimely error took place at Cineworld in Nottingham where dozens of young movie fans had sat down for a family-friendly screening of the new animated film Madagascar 3. Unfortunately due to a technical glitch it was clear that the movie that had started playing was anything but the cartoon romp people were expecting as a bloodied corpse was hurled at the camera within the first opening minutes.
"They started playing the movie and I thought - this doesn’t look right," said mother Natasha Lewis. "Everybody just scrambled for the exits, all you could hear were children crying and screaming. Everyone was very upset." Cinema officials offered their sincerest apologies over the incident and handed out refunds and free tickets to those affected.

The Cineworld representative blamed the incident on “a technical error with the projector,” and promised to look into the issue. “We take matters such as this very seriously and are currently working with technicians to ensure this does not happen again. ”
