Footage recorded at Myakka River State Park is being hailed as evidence of the elusive Skunk Ape.
Believed to be Florida's answer to Bigfoot, the Skunk Ape is a humanoid ape-like creature characterized by a strong, repulsive smell. Sightings of the creature have been reported for years including a wave of reports in the 1970s in which one witness described it by saying "it stunk awful, like a dog that hasn't been bathed in a year and suddenly gets rained on."
In this new video, a figure can be seen in the distance as a group of visitors attempt to get a better look at it. Due to the distance it is difficult to know if this really is something unexplained or simply a person in a suit, however the footage has gained widespread interest online and cryptozoology fans have been speculating over whether or not it represents genuine evidence that something may still be lurking wild in the Florida Everglades, just waiting to be discovered.[!gad]Believed to be Florida's answer to Bigfoot, the Skunk Ape is a humanoid ape-like creature characterized by a strong, repulsive smell. A video posted in March on YouTube claims to show a glimpse of the legendary creature, as MySuncoast. com first reported. The footage shows what is purported to be an ape-like creature off in the distance of a field at the Sarasota park as a group of visitors tries to get a look.
Yeah, thoses million + visitors go treking off through the swamp. I'll bet there are parts of the swamp that haven't been seen by human eyes in years if not decades. Sorry, I'm not buying it. Go sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here. So believing in a "skunk ape" is not crazy in your book? And I would counter by saying that I'm confident that you would find evidence of humans in every area of that swamp.
That is what I thought right of the bat... get that lady's contact info. If her pics show up or not probably depends on what she saw. If she saw a bear, or a migrant, or a vagrant, then it does not matter at all. Apparently the guy making the this youtube video thought what he saw was good enough to run out into the fields? Apparently so. The lady with the tele-photo lens camera has the goods (whatever the goods are). To me that dark blob could just as easily be someone out wandering around picking berries. I agree with that. While out there picking, they just need to watch out for the hogs, t... [More]
I see a rather large DSLR zoom lens on a visitor in that video..so WHY are we stuck with just phone cameras if so many people saw it? Oh right, nothing beyond 3 megapixels from 200 feet away is allowed in crypto footage lol
Smells curiously like the Internet.... Hummmmm...... Which actually happens to smell oddly like feces in my experience....particularly the kind that comes from uncastrated bovine males.
