A visitor to the iconic New York City landmark captured something unusual moving across the sky.
A woman and her sister-in-law had been visiting the statue earlier this week when they spotted an unidentified object in the sky and took the decision to take out a camera and begin recording it.
The object, which moves steadily from right to left across the frame, is dark in color and doesn't appear to possess any markings or lights. It is roughly circular in shape with a grey area towards the center where the light seems to be catching on its surface.
Internet users commenting on the footage have offered a range of suggestions to explain the sighting including the possibility that the object could be some sort of balloon or aerial drone.
The original recording, which has been uploaded to YouTube, can be viewed below.
Completely fake, not even real video footage. It was created from a photo. The biggest sign is the obvious black and white statue of liberty. Second is that it apears blurier than the UFO. The camera zooms in to fast. There's a dark grey outiline around the statue that is not there in reality, evidence of it being copy/pasted. And a simple google search revealed an image that matches it perfectly. It's an animated photo with fake camera shake a soundrtrack and UFO added.

Could very well be a drone , the movement?not a balloon. Laws will be passed on drones in 015 and they ought to have to have brighter, than mandated presently, ID lights, maybe even a new color scheme for them to further identify. As the couple of near misses this year with com. aircraft, it's a matter of time to disaster.
Or air traffic control... Yeah, NYC isn't going to allow that thing to fly above the Statue of Liberty without fighter jets surrounding it. That's a promise.
