The Risso's dolphin calf was spotted alongside its mother by whale watchers off the coast of California.
The sighting, which took place during an outing organized by whale watching tour company Blue Ocean Whale Watch, is the first time the uniquely colored infant had been seen since January.

"We spotted the albino Risso's dolphin calf today !" the company wrote on its Facebook page.

Risso's dolphins can be found in oceans all around the world and with a typical length of up to 10ft and a weight of up to 1,000 pounds they are also one of the largest known dolphin species.

Footage of the unusual youngster recorded from the tour boat can be viewed below.
