Nissan develops self-parking office chairs

The car company has revealed a novel new invention - chairs that automaticaly tidy themselves away.
The ridiculous though undeniably ingenious invention, which Nissan has called the 'Intelligent Parking Chair', will move itself neatly in to position at a desk when it hears someone clap.

The chairs can be seen in action as part of a recently released promotional video (see below).
According to Nissan, the chairs work thanks to a series of wireless cameras positioned around the room which work out where each of the chairs should be and how to get them there.

Sadly though it looks unlikely that the technology - in this form at least - will ever be available for consumer purchase because, rather than being a preview of things to come, the whole thing appears to be little more than a promotion for the self-parking function of Nissan's cars.
