CCTV footage shows allegedly 'haunted' bicycle moving on its own

It shows a regular bicycle - without rider or apparent human intervention - moving several feet down the street before coming to a standstill and eventually tipping over.

The phenomenon has elicited some conflicting opinions, with some arguing that it could be evidence of paranormal activity and others dismissing the entire thing as a hoax."York is a great place for unusual occurrences and Shambles is a place like any other," ghost tour owner Mark Graham told The Press.

"Ghost stories are like jigsaws - there's a piece to show the full picture. I don't think (the riderless bike) is anything at the moment."

"That seems to be an isolated incident - it may be linked to some others and I would urge people to come forward who know anything."
