Is this a monster, or something else ? Image Credit: Facebook / Jo-Ann Martin
An image shows what appears to be some sort of serpent-like creature in New York's Hudson River.
The Loch Ness Monster might be the most famous water-dwelling monster legend, but that doesn't mean that it is the only unexplained creature rumored to lurk in a well known body of water.
Another example is Kipsy - a Nessie-like creature said to live in New York's Hudson River.
Earlier this month, Facebook user Jo-Ann Martin shared a photograph she had taken of what looks like a strange serpentine animal seemingly emerging from the waters of the river.
Although it is quite a distance away, the alleged creature is certainly intriguing and exhibits a stereotypical 'hump' as well as a tail and long neck protruding from the water.
The image was quickly picked up by local news outlets and generated a fair amount of discussion with other users speculating over whether it was a genuine creature or simply a piece of driftwood.
As things stand, no definitive explanation has been forthcoming.
What do you think the image shows ?
