Anyone with a keen interest in searching for the Loch Ness monster may have the chance at their dream job.
There is perhaps no cryptozoological creature as famous as Scotland's enigmatic Loch Ness monster, yet to date there remains no conclusive physical evidence that the beast even exists at all.

Now, however, prospective Nessie hunters are in with a chance to turn their passion into a career.

The Loch Ness Center in Drumnadrochit - a small village on the shores of the loch - is currently looking for a full-time Nessie hunter to help scour the waters for the elusive beast.

"We're on the hunt for an adventurous skipper to take the helm of its Deepscan Cruise vessel - meaning the successful candidate will spend their days searching for the legendary Nessie while navigating the world-famous waters of Loch Ness," the ad reads.

"The unique opportunity, based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, requires a passion for storytelling, in order to give guests unique insight into famous monster sightings, as well as sharing the history of the world's most famous loch."
The job looks to be well paid, with an equivalent daily wage of over $230.

"The successful applicant must also be a competent skipper with a strong understanding of maritime operations," the ad reads.

Applications close in just two days' time, so if you are interested - now's the time to apply!

Presumably, they are hoping to generate tourism revenue or something similar with such a pointless phantom hunt. There's no other way I can explain such a waste of money.

I'll do it.  I can take obscure photos and videos, and make up **** as well as the next guy.  Plus, I can multi-task and do Scotch Whisky research while I'm at it.  Probably will help with the make up **** portion of the job.

They already have that. https://lochness.com/could-you-be-a-full-time-nessie-hunter-were-recruiting-for-research-vessel-skipper/? I don't think it matters whether the applicant believes in Nessie or not.  Getting paid to cruise around on Loch Ness, especially in the summer, sounds like a not bad job for someone who enjoys boating and has the gift of the gab. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-14469143/Loch-Ness-Nessie-hunter-people-shocked-salary.html

They need to dig up that fiberglass model they built for that Dr Who episode and put it back to work.
