Young boy survives unscathed after fall from 16th-floor window

Image Credit: CC BY-SA 4.0 DiscoA340 The idea that anyone could survive unscathed after falling 43 meters from a high-rise window might sound ridiculous, yet this is exactly what happened in Aubervilliers, France recently when a young boy plummeted from the 16th-floor window of an apartment block on May 26th.

According to reports, the boy - who suffers from autism - seemingly panicked after accidentally locking himself inside his own room.

When his father was finally able to break down the door, he was greeted with the terrifying sight of an empty room and a window that was wide open.

Looking down from the balcony, he could see his son lying on the ground far below.Miraculously, however, by the time he had got down to the bottom floor he found the boy, not only very much alive, but seemingly none the worse for wear despite such a huge fall.

His parents quickly took him to a local hospital where he was kept in for observation, but apart from a small scratch on his leg and some other minor injuries, he seemed to be totally fine.

Within days, he was back to school as though nothing had happened.

"He has resumed a normal life, everything is fine," said his mother.

"I was not a believer, but now I am!"
