Psychic looking for man's missing daughter finds human remains

Image Credit: CC BY-SA 4.0 PersianDutchNetwork There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the idea that psychics can be used to locate missing people, with one side of the fence arguing that they may have a genuine role to play in investigations and the other insisting that psychic abilities don't actually exist.

Sometimes, though, psychics actually do find the unfindable - as was the case recently when a psychic who had been tasked with locating a man's missing daughter found actual human remains behind a bowling alley roughly 70 miles from Portland, Maine.

17-year-old Kim Moreau disappeared without a trace all the way back in 1986 and her father, Richard 'Dick' Moreau, had hoped that a psychic might be able to determine her whereabouts.

During the session, however, the psychic found something that neither of them had expected.

"[The psychic] had a very strong feeling that there was something up there," Moreau told WMUR."But she wasn't sure what it was. Then in about 10 minutes, she turned around, she came down, and said: 'Dick, you've got to get up here now!'"

Incredibly, she had found human bones just a block or so away from the family's home.

In an excruciating twist, however, when the police came to retrieve the bones, it was determined that they belonged to a male, meaning that this wasn't Moreau's long-lost daughter.

"It's a disappointment in some ways," he said. "But we've got to remember and look at it from our point of view. We're one of the families that has a missing loved one."

"We will have a family that's going to get closure now."

"So it isn't us, but one of these times, it's got to be."
