CIA document from 1984 describes ancient 'elder race' of aliens on Mars

The document, which was part of a CIA project called Stargate, details the findings of a remote viewing experiment.
It may be difficult to believe now, but between 1977 and 1995, the CIA had been heavily invested in experiments involving remote viewing - a type of alleged psychic projection enabling someone to view things over long distances using only the power of their own mind.

Known collectively as Project Stargate, these experiments were mainly aimed at acquiring information for military and domestic intelligence purposes, but could be used for other pursuits as well.

One particularly notable experiment, which was detailed in a declassified CIA document from 1984 entitled "Mars Exploration", involved asking a remote viewer to look at specific co-ordinates on Mars approximately one million years in the past.

Incredibly, the subject would go on to describe "an oblique view of a pyramid or pyramid form" inhabited by "very large people" who were "like a shadow" and "very tall [and] thin."

"It's as if they were there and they're not, not there anymore," the subject said.
They went on to explain that, one million years ago, an "elder race" of ancient alien entities constructed pyramids on Mars in order to take shelter from a storm.

Ultimately, however, they were unable to survive.

"They're very philosophic [sic] about it," the subject said.

"They're looking for ah... a way to survive and they just can't."

Bear in mind that this isn't just some tabloid story but an actual, legitimate declassified CIA document that you can still read now on the CIA's own website - here.

Whether there is any truth to what the remote viewer claimed to have seen, however, remains a matter of debate.

I remember that movie, "Mission to Mars". One of the astronauts entered that 'face' and it appeared to be some sort of dome : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_to_Mars

As do i, their hardware, appliance and automotive sections were really great. Kind of biased though as my old man was a service tech for Sears.
