The recent wave of UFO and alien related movies continues with a new Swedish thriller about alien abduction.
Recently, we talked about how there has been a growing interest in movies and documentaries covering the subject of UFOs and extraterrestrial visitation, with upcoming documentary Age of Disclosure and Steven Spielberg's still in-development UFO movie leading the charge.
Just a few days ago, Apple also announced that it was developing its own new thriller movie on the topic of UFO (or UAP) disclosure that will be produced by Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer who previously worked together on Top Gun Maverick.
Now, yet another new UFO-themed movie has entered the fray - Watch The Skies.
Created by filmmaker Victor Danell, this Swedish production (which uses AI to dub the dialogue into English) concerns the story of a woman whose father has been abducted by aliens.
"A rebellious teenager who believes her missing father was abducted by aliens joins forces with a quirky UFO club of endearing misfits," the synopsis states.
"They embark on a high-stakes adventure that defies the law and challenges the very fabric of reality. Will they actually find aliens? Or is something else going on?"
Although the film had already released in its native Sweden back in 2023, this new English-language version will be releasing in theaters internationally on May 9th.
It will likely have a higher Box Office than most current movies made in the US because it's Spielberg's and none of the actors have been browbeating Americans with their political views.
It's been quite a while since I was last in a movie theater but the movies you're speaking of, were the actors the Hollywood crowd? That's the reason I think many movies are failing these days. The idiots can't shut up about their politics and it's off-putting to say the least. This movie doesn't seem to have that problem.
