Many believe that the object is extraterrestrial in nature and that it even contains a message for humanity.
It's arguably one of the most controversial UFO cases in recent months - and yet, it's a story that simply refuses to disappear. Despite the skepticism, the mainstream press continues to revisit it on a regular basis.
The object in question, described as a silver-metallic sphere roughly the size of a large football, first drew attention in March when it was filmed darting and zig-zagging through the sky over the town of Buga.
According to reports, the object allegedly landed somewhere nearby and was subsequently recovered by local authorities. Since then, it has been undergoing extensive examination by a team of researchers.
One of these - radiologist Dr Jose Luis Velazquez - maintains that the sphere exhibits no apparent welds or joints as would be expected if it were man-made.
"It is of artificial origin, in that it shows no evidence of welding, and its internal structure is composed of high-density elements," his team wrote. "More testing is needed to establish its origin."
The researchers have also used AI to analyze symbols found on the sphere's surface.
According to their findings, the inscription reads:
"The origin of birth through union and energy in the cycle of transformation, meeting point of unity, expansion, and consciousness - individual consciousness."
"We interpret it as a message to humanity, encouraging a collective shift in consciousness to help Mother Earth - especially considering the current issues with pollution and environmental decline," the team wrote.
Still, it's hard to ignore just how dubious the whole story sounds. As intriguing as it may be, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - and so far, that evidence remains elusive.
One thing's for sure: this strange metallic sphere isn't going away anytime soon.
Expect to hear more about it in the weeks and months ahead.

All the videos related to this incident were created by a company called "Germany Company" as part of a fake viral marketing campaign. I think they sell metal detectors? For example, on their YouTube homepage, the "laboratory" backdrop directly has their company logo printed on it and here we see an employee wearing a shirt with the companys logo is using a blowtorch to barbecue the "Bates ball" without wearing any protective clothing at all..!!? ? Nice set up for investigating something allegedly from out of this world! ? The movement in the videos of the sphere looks exactly like so... [More]
I don't disagree that this is a fake, hence why I'm pointing out the human symbols. Jaime Maussan, the Mexican Jew, along with Steven Greer, Third Phase of Moon, Kerry Kassidy, Linda Milton Howe, etc. This weird internationalist globalist mystery religion cult that's pushing a UFO hoax.
It is always more convincing when an actual scientist is revealing the truth about a close encounter. A UFO researcher has an ominous message for humanity as governments around the world begin releasing more information about alleged contact with extraterrestrials. Dr Julia Mossbridge is a cognitive neuroscientist and a researcher of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) - the new term for UFOs and alien sightings. After scientists in Colombia recovered a mysterious, sphere-shaped object that many now believe is a piece of UFO technology, Mossbridge said the world is moving into an era w... [More]
Using AI to translate the extraterrestrial message is just admirable. Nothing is impossible for the almighty AI because it always gives some kind of an answer!
"It's arguably one of the most controversial UFO cases in recent months" Don't leave us hanging, what are some other lesser controversial UFO cases in recent months?
if we have to describe something moving through the sky as mysterious it's by definition a UFO. Unidentified Flying Object. No need for a 'real' in front of it.
