The man, who hails from Salt Lake City, reportedly threatened to pierce the heart of his unsuspecting victim.
The incident came to light when police officers were called out on the afternoon of Sunday, June 14th to attend a disturbance involving 24-year-old Jose Manuel Perez.

According to reports, Perez had been having lunch with another man when he suddenly took out a wooden stake with a nail protruding from it and starting attacking him.

After placing the victim in a chokehold, he proceeded to threaten to pierce him through the heart with the stake because he had become convinced that the man was in fact a werewolf.
Fortunately, the victim was able to break free and escape.

When officers caught up to Perez, he was in possession of the other's man's backpack and maintained that he believed the 'werewolf' had intended to kill him.

In the end, he was booked on one count of aggravated robbery.

Exactly why he had believed the other man to be a werewolf remains unclear.

Wooden stakes are for vampire. Silver bullets for the werewolves.

He wouldn't have killed that werewolf, just make him angry. On a side note: people can be very stupid.

Easy if you're a professional armourer; even in America I doubt it's possible to buy off-the-shelf cartridges with silver bullets.

Are you saying it wouldn't work? (Existence of werewolves not believed).
