Tuesday's hearing also saw multiple witnesses speak out on the topic of UFOs and UFO disclosure.
During the hearing on September 9th, US Representative Eric Burlison presented what may be the most significant new piece of UFO footage in some time - a clip recorded from a drone showing a strange 'orb' being tracked off the coast of Yemen on October 30th, 2024.

At one point in the footage, another drone fires a Hellfire missile at the object which can then be seen bouncing off it, leaving the UFO to continue on the same trajectory above the water.

The video is a bit more impressive than some of the previous US government UFO videos we've seen in recent years as the object is a lot clearer, especially when the camera zooms out.

Exactly what this object is and how it survived the strike remains unclear.
The hearing itself, which was entitled "Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection", was headed up by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of the House Oversight and Government Reform's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets.

"The American people deserve maximum transparency from the federal government on sightings, acquisitions, and examinations of UAPs and whether they pose a potential threat to Americans' safety," she said prior to the hearing.

Speaking at the event were multiple UAP witnesses including Air Force veterans Jeffrey Nuccetelli and Dylan Borland, as well as Navy veteran Alexandro Wiggins.

Journalist George Knapp was also there.

You can watch the UFO clip for yourself below, while the full hearing can be viewed - here.

That was what impressed me most.  I don't know at what point an air-to-ground missile arms itself, but you'd think we'd have at least seen the blast effect rather than a simple kinetic effect.

That certainly possible, I’ve seen an RPG-7 that was fired at a truck and struck the cavas on the back of truck and didn’t explode it just stuck in the canvas. RPG-7

Same Grim, in a convoy and saw an RPG hit a fuel tanker without "rhino skin".  It must have been the angle or whatever but the thing bounced off and slammed into an adjacent building. Either the firer was embarrassed or he only had one rocket because we didn't receive any more fire. ?

Hey Trelane, that’s pretty fortunate. It must’ve been the angle that made it deflected around away from the vehicle. The truck I saw hit was a 5 ton, when the RPG hit the canvas the fins on the back of the RPG tangled in the canvas and it just hung there. We had to have EOD come and remove the dam thing. ?

That's insane. One of the EOD guys said that weird stuff happens like that all the time. That's why there's always so many UXOs.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense to me, I also think when it comes to RPG‘s that there are a lot of duds. I’m certain we both know how unreliable a lot of the Russian ordinance actually is, maybe that explains what happened to that truck.

Solid enough for the object to be pushed aside by the rocket but not solid enough to explode the rocket. Also, the object lost 2 sizeable pieces that seemed to remain close to the main object. Interesting, I'm thinking plasma

It doesn't look like a missile to me. Too slow, unless both objects are big and the field of view covered by the camera is a lot bigger than it looks.

Speed perception in these clips is notoriously misleading. Without knowing the frame rate, focal length, or distance to the objects, its nearly impossible to judge size or velocity accurately. What looks slow might actually be a high-speed event captured from far away with a narrow field of view. These variables matter a lot more than gut impressions.
