A highly controversial claim concerning the cryptozoological hominid has left even Bigfoot veterans crying foul.
It is often said that the only thing that will ever satisfy science when it comes to proving the existence of Bigfoot is a corpse that researchers can examine in a laboratory.
According to one man, however, such a specimen has in fact been found, yet so far he has failed to convince even the staunchest of Bigfoot believers that the discovery is genuine.
The individual in question - who goes by the name "Snake the Bigfoot Hunter" - discovered what he claimed to be a Bigfoot body in the Adirondack Mountains back in 2024.
He also claimed to have had its DNA analyzed at Cornell University.
"We had blood, hair, and fecal matter, and we just submitted all and got that done through a friend of mine who worked at the Cornell Veterinarian Bio DNA Lab," he told
NewsNation.
"The results came back... 58.5 percent Neanderthal and Denisovan."To add even more unbelievability to the story, he even claimed that the creature he found had died from injuries consistent with it having been attacked by an even larger Bigfoot.
So why aren't we hearing more about this ?
As it turns out, even the most die-hard Bigfoot believers are having trouble accepting his story as truth.
A photograph of the alleged remains, which was posted online, is reportedly so unconvincing that the general consensus is that the whole thing is little more than a hoax.
"No, he doesn't actually have Bigfoot remains," Matt Moneymaker of the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization) told the New York Post back in 2025.
"It's just a cheesy fake dead Bigfoot, perhaps a little bit better than Tom Biscardi's famous fake dead Bigfoot."
