The night I saw my spirit guide

This story was submitted to the site by Mickey from Northstar California (Lake Tahoe).
This may fall more into the category of explained rather than unexplained, but nonetheless I know readers will find it one of the most interesting true stories they will ever read.

I'm 48 years old now, but this event took place back when I was 25. At that time, I was living with my mother and we were renting a nice house, just off Hwy 267 in North Lake Tahoe, between Northstar resort and the lake. At this time I was working at a casino on the other side of the lake along with my girlfriend Kelly, who actually ended up living with me, my mom and my mom's boyfriend. Kelly was living on South shore when I hooked up with her weeks ago, with her sister in South Lake Tahoe.

Things were going fine. For no particular reason, one day, Kelly tells me that she is going to go stay with her sister for one night, as she hardly sees her anymore since she has been living with me on the other side of the lake. So on this one particular night, I had to sleep alone in bed, which wasn't necessarily a concern, or at least so I believed. I had no idea what was in store for me on that night.

As I'm laying in bed, alone, in the dark, I start looking up at the rafters and there was a small amount of night light peaking through my window just barely lighting up the room. So I start to realize there is something moving up above me. At first I got chills, but laid there in dismay as I was eventually able to make out a floating figure. Even weirder I start to get this deep seated feeling that this thing floating above me is female, and I somehow know her, and that I have no need to fear her, I KNOW HER. But how is this possible I'm saying to myself. From the feeling I'm getting, this person is very close to me. She was floating about five feet above me and now I'm trying to reach up for her and pull her down to be closer to me, as weird as that sounds. Of course she wouldn't come down to me.
She was not human, nor did she have a human physique. She was this dark black, to dark gray moving wavy mass. She did however have or least seem to have something that I took to be a face and head with hair. She had a very wicked looking face and wild long beautiful hair that was salt and pepper color. Very beautiful. This girl ROCKS who ever she is. Realizing she isn't going to come down to my level, I gave up, and eventually just went to sleep. When I awoke in the morning, I sat up in bed and put my feet on the floor, and took a few minutes to process what had happened to me last night. I convinced myself that it would probably be best if I never share this story with anyone as it is rather hard to believe and most people would simply think I'm crazy. So I just wont tell anyone, not even Kelly.

I eventually get my butt out of bed and get showered for the day and get something to eat and this was clearly a day that I didn't have to work. Kelly was still at her sister's, but was actually on her way back. At some point, my mother reveals to me that I can't go anywhere today. I asked why. She says because she hired her favorite psychic to come over that day and apparently volunteered me to pay for the service. Gee, thanks mom. My mother was at a point in her life where this psychic was everything to her. My mom would take her on vacations and in my opinion draining my mom's pocket book. I was on the fence about believing if psychics are real, but was pretty sure hers was getting to much of her money. Kelly eventually makes it back and eventually the psychic also shows up.

So I pull out my mixer, microphone and tape deck so that I can record this session. Again this is my mom, Kelly and me sitting in. My mother starts out with a bunch of questions and my mom appears to be happy with the results, so then the asking goes to Kelly. Kelly asks her if she has a spirit guide. The psychic says, why yes you do. His name is Lumnock, he looks like a king. He wears a robe, and holds a scepter and gives her several other interesting details about Lumnock. Eventually it's my turn and well, I'm completely lost, I had no idea what to ask, so I figured I would just wing it and ask the same questions that Kelly asked. Do I have a spirit guide - and this psychic looks me straight in the face from across the room and says, of course you do silly, who do you think that was that was floating above your bed last night? Kelly and my mom are now staring at me, probably wondering why I had never shared this with them. Now I'm scared. How could she possibly know about this. I mean I do believe in things being called a coincidence but come on, this one is not even possible.

So she gives me a few details about my spirit guide. Her name is Almontra, and she is with me all the time, to help me through this journey. She gave me a few details which I'm sad to say, I have forgotten over time, in addition to me losing the only copy of the session I had on tape. I think what's happened is that back then it didn't really mean much to me and now that I'm older and have studied the paranormal and supernatural for over 30 years of my life, it does now. I guess what this all comes down to is I will probably have to find a reputable psychic in MY area, since I no longer live near there, and get as much information about Almontra as I can. There are real ones and there are fake ones, it's just an issue of finding a real one.

It's to my understanding that people all start and end up in the same place. The only difference is that once you're human, you keep that physique when you pass on. The only difference is that you will be in tip top condition. So any sickness or aliments you had here would be gone. Spirits like Almontra probably have never been human and this is why she has the form she has. Clearly she was to help me on my journey but I don't even know what that is supposed to be. Obviously there is a lot of questions that need to be answered. I look at it this way, if I came here for a reason, why waste the opportunity to do what was intended and possibly end up coming back to try again, when I can just take care of it now. If I chose her to be my spirit guide, there must be obvious reasons for this.

It's hard to know what to say about this. I don't actually believe in spirit guides and the thought crossed my mind that maybe you had been dreaming about what you'd seen. That is until I read what this psychic said to you......amazing!

I don't get excited because a medium gets a message from a "spirit". Demons have been around since long before humanity arrived and would have memory of many things that would make them seem divine somehow. The bible says to test the spirits to see if they are from God. If they say or do anything contrary to the word of God I'd stay far from them. A time of miracles is coming - beings posing as angels or aliens who can work miraculous signs. Even God's "elect" could be deceived if they are not vigilant.

What makes one think that any spirit (if they even exist) are going to be of ones religion or any religion at all? Just curious.

Ryu, that is the ultamate question. And the right one to ask at that. From what I'm learning about religion and faith, is that it's not good any longer to believe in such terrorisim. I also don't condone the use of shock and awe, like we frequently see. So to me religion is a socially engineered virus. I'm sad that so many people are afflicted. For the first time in history, I'm actually breaking the code, of just what exactly happened to us in biblical times. If anyone things that God created us, they are wrong. Newsweek January 1988, Mitchondrial Eve, Proved that. There is no way that I live... [More]
