Approaching "unidentified object" is space junk

An object recently detected by astronomers as it whizzed past the Earth has turned out to be space junk.
Initially thought to be an asteroid the object was found not to match any known asteroid types and was only a few metres in size. Having made a close pass before heading back off in to the void of space NASA boffins believe it was nothing more than debris such as a spent booster stage from a rocket.
NASA boffins report that an unknown object approaching the Earth from deep space is almost certainly artificial in origin rather than being an asteroid.

well if they couldn't identify it...doesn't that mean it was a UFO

well if they couldn't identify it...doesn't that mean it was a UFO No...that means it was a guess...or simply a lollipop to pacify the curious. Approaching implies it is coming at us, not orbiting in our space junk yard. Time to call out the space police and start fining the litterbugs. Geeze, how lame we Earthings are. We can't keep our garbage to ourselves. Oooh. Sorry, I forgot, we're the same folks who cut open the earth to bleed oil until the oceans turn to blood and suffocate the life from the water. What was I thinking? I say, "Earth First! We'll drill the other planets later."

That's no space junk... It's one of the astronauts accidentally missed his flight back home on the last space station repair mission, returning from his full freestyle space orbit now hoping to picked up.

Earth is gonna stay here for billions of years, and humanity won't even be a footnote on the history of the planet so we should just party while we can. you don't think things we've done could last for thousands of years??? getting a lil off topic though

We need oil for the time being. we sure do ... even if we do find alternative solutions, oil will remain prime source of power... in the end it's all about the money
