A motorist captured images of a large metallic disc-shaped object being hauled along a desert road on a truck.
The peculiar spectacle, which was spotted on the road between the towns of Andacollo and Chos Malal, quickly went viral and left social media users speculating over what the object could be.

Seemingly made of metal, the 'UFO' measured several meters in diameter and was held on to the back of the truck with heavy-duty straps to stop it falling off during transport.

Opinions on the mystery have been mixed to say the least.

"The Argentine economy must be really bad to carry an intact UFO on the roads in plain sight," said one commenter, while another suggested that a lack of suitable aircraft might be the reason.
Others, meanwhile, distanced themselves from the UFO angle, instead suggesting that the object was part of a communications system or some other industrial installation.

This story echoes another instance of a large, disc-shaped object seen on the back of a truck in Argentina which occurred back in 2016. You can check out the story and video - here.

At the time, the 'UFO' was also deemed most likely to be some sort of industrial component.

Everything is a UFO if you're bad at identifying things....

There's a bigger problem here. The usual moan of, it's not a clear picture, too grainy, too fuzzy, doesn't apply here. And yet nobody has been able to identify what the disc is in the photo. We can't, as a group, have it both ways. If I was government then I now know that I could just transport a downed ufo on an open bed truck... unless... now we have a clear pic... we identify it.

This is actually a great example of just because a couple bored people on a forum don't know for sure what this thing on a truck is no rational person is gonna pound sand insisting it's an alien craft, it's not a UFO because it's not flying, duh. The next person in this thread might know exactly what it is, Of course the photo was presented in a tabloid which was rather derelict in that the could have tried to track down the trucker hauling it and find out what mundane nothing it really is
