Dogs recognise their owner's face

Dogs rely heavily on identifying their owners by looking at their face scientists have found.
The study showed how much domestication had changed the natural behaviours of dogs, in trials conducted with dogs and their owners the dogs seemed to have difficulty identifying their owners when their face was covered.
Scientists have shown just how much dogs rely on seeing their owners faces in order to recognise them. The researchers also measured how much dogs prefer to gaze at and follow their owner, rather than a stranger.

I want to raise money for a study that proves pizza is delicious.

I guess it would flip their lids to know dogs can read facial expressions, too. Absolutely, dogs can read human facial expressions and body language far better than most humans can read theirs. Why do I get the feeling that some of these 'researchers' simply haven't spent much time around dogs?

My lord this article proves how blind science really is at times. Is this really such a revelation? What the hell do these whitecoats think canines use eyes for?

Right! All these examples of new research that confirms the obvious. Is scientific evidence all that important to dog-lovers, I should say not. Our dogs recognize our face, voice, smell, even the way we walk, so they know when we are about to be there before they even see us. Goofy "scientists" should do something worthwhile instead of pontificating endlessly.

Why did they even bother? *Sigh*

I wonder how much was spent on a study that pretty much any dog owner could have stated the exact same thing? I had that figured out a longgg time ago. Wish I had the money spent on the study, as would my dogs, if I spent it on them.

I wonder how much was spent on a study that pretty much any dog owner could have stated the exact same thing? I know it since i was like 5 years old .. when i play with my dog, one day i cover my face with a bag and scare him , he Ran up to me, try to Jump and bite me to pieces , fortunate that my dad was around.

Even my exotic pet , Civet (this one http://www.kostich.com/indian_civet.htm ) , which is a wild animal ,now very tame and bonded to me. She reads my face well. She can differentiate btween me and my wife clearly. So i guess thats nothing to do with "how much domestication had changed the natural behaviours of dogs" She keeps away from my wife when she seems to be jealous seeing her upon my shoulders most of the time .
