Current to the brain "boosts maths skills"

Applying an electrical current to the brain can improve your ability to learn mathematics.
Targeting the parietal lobe scientists found that applying a current can make the individual more able to solve numerical problems, exposing it to magnetic fields however had the opposite effect.
Applying a tiny electrical current to the brain could make you better at learning maths, according to Oxford University scientists.

haha. I can imagine some guy reading this and that what find it a good idea to try and do this himself... we all know how that would end..

lol, the thought did actually cross my mind for a second. I joked with my girls about using their mobiles on the other ear to see if it stops all the "brain fog" they are complaining about. What if it is really the case? We have heard so much about EM's and mobile phones.. My link My link

I almost thought this was a joke when I saw it was published in the journal Current Biology. Shocking! It has long been know that electric shock to a drug addict burns off the candy coating that coats the nerves that drives you to take more and more drugs to get to the same high. Once it is shocked off, surprisingly they don't return to the old habits of reusing drugs. The human body runs on about four watts of electricity, so it makes sense that stimulating certain thinking parts of the brain may increase certain abilities.
