In a bizarre medical conundrum, several male soldiers in Germany have started to develop breasts.
Male members of a high-ranking military guards battalion were surprised to discover that they were developing a breast-like growth on one side of their body, an ailment that many of the men seemed to share. The rare and unusual complaint is known as one-sided gynecomastia. 74% of the soldiers in the battalion complained that they had experienced the problem.The explanation lies in the way that the men slap their rifles against the side of their chests during drills, an act which when done repeatedly has a tendency to stimulate hormones on that side. Out of 211 known cases of one-sided gynecomastia, 35 of them are soldiers in the German Wachbataillon unit.
The highly ranked military guards battalion, known for performing drill demonstrations at major events, are growing breasts on just one side of their bodies, Medical Daily reported.
