Aryes Clague, Co-Founder/Field Researcher: Aryes was born in Rhode Island but was raised up in the back woods of Western North Carolina. She has raised, rescued and trained horses her whole life. Aryes has always believed in Bigfoot and the paranormal but was never able to express it. She loves trying to figure out the unknown, and the things others are skeptical about and afraid of.

Question: From the look of things, it appears you were a ghost hunter first with Beyond the Veil Paranormal Research and now you have taken off with Bigfoot Seekers. Is this a correct assessment? Correct me if I am wrong.

Answer: I am an avid paranormal researcher and investigator. I have seen ghosts since the age of four. I've only seen Bigfoot once. I consider myself to be both a paranormal investigator and Bigfoot researcher.

Question: How did you become interested in the paranormal?

Answer: I founded Beyond the Veil Paranormal Research Group in 2009, but I have been involved in paranormal research since the age of 8, when I first saw a book fly across the room and tried to debunk what caused this to happen.

Question: Why have you switched gears and now pursuing Bigfoot? Did you have an experience with Bigfoot?

Answer: It was in the 80's. I was hanging out with some friends and we decided to drive down a road that was known to be haunted. One time I had seen something I couldn't explain. It was a child on a tricycle - self-illuminated - and then it disappeared. So I often went down this road to see if I could see it again. On this particular evening, around dusk, we were hanging out in a convertible, looking for ghosts and just having fun. I remember I was studying for my drivers license and my friend, who was driving, had pulled off the road onto the wrong side. I told him that wasn't cool and he laughed. After ten minutes of talking with my friends in the car, I felt something staring at me, and I could smell a foul odor. But I didn't make too much of it, we were on a rural road, and the woods can have a smell sometimes. And then I felt this intense stare and at the time, I didn't know what it was when I looked. It was big and hairy and just staring at me and my friends in the car. It was about five to seven feet away from our car. We all screamed and tried to get out of there quick. The driver could not get the car started fast enough! I tried to crawl under the seat of the car, but as you know, you can't crawl under the seat of a car. We were in a convertible with no coverage. When my friend finally got the car started, we sped out of there so fast. We went to the main road and flagged down a police officer and told him that we saw a monster in the woods. We all were in tears. I didn't know what it was at the time and it frightened me. I didn't have cable TV back then or internet. So I didn't have any knowledge that this creature existed. I thought it was a monster, and I was afraid. But I think if it really wanted to hurt us, it would have. But it was just standing there, observing us. Now I know what I saw that day.

Question: I have conducted my own Bigfoot investigations in Mount Shasta and one of the techniques I use for communicating with Bigfoot is the wood on wood technique. One time I hit a tree 3 times with a piece of wood and I had heard a response, rocks falling into the creek bed 3 times and there were no humans around. Do you use this method?

Answer: Yes, we do use the wood knocking method. Last summer, Kris and I took a four wheeler deep into the woods in Bellingham, Massachusetts where we camped for the night. I was wood knocking and shortly after, we had a response - we heard wood knocking back. We were far from human civilization, and we know it was not another human making this sound. Other humans couldn't have found us if they wanted to!

Question: Do you use game cams for your Bigfoot research?

Answer: We tried them once. We didn't get results from it. We were skeptical about using game cams because we believe Bigfoot can smell our scent and is aware that were in the area, where we put up the camera. These creatures are smarter than people give them credit for. They knew we were there. We leave scent no matter where we go in the woods. He knows we are there before we know that he is there.

Question: What areas of Rhode Island do you plan to investigate?

Answer: There is a vast amount of forest in New England, including Rhode Island. We have only yet explored a portion of it. We have several places that we plan to explore, but we are keeping those undisclosed, as we do not want to have the area contaminated, or others to go out with the intent to hurt this creature.

Question: Are there a lot of sightings of Bigfoot in Rhode Island?

Answer: Yes there are a lot of Bigfoot sightings in Rhode Island. Since I came out of the Bigfoot closet, we have received testimony from a lot of people that believe to have seen or heard a Bigfoot in Rhode Island and surrounding areas.

Question: Please identify your demonologist friend, what part will he partake with your group?

Answer: Carl is a member of our sister teams, Beyond the Veil Paranormal Research and the Big Rhodey Research Project. The Bigfoot Seekers is an all-female group. The reason we decided to do an all-female group is for the fact that generally speaking, women are less intimidating than men. We are experimenting with the idea that Bigfoot would feel less threatened by females... and we smell good! ;)

Question: What kind of equipment will you be utilizing for your research on Bigfoot?

Answer: Most of the time, we travel on horseback. I have had reports from people who have said this creature would braid the horses hair in a loose, different way. Most horses seem to like the fact that this creature is here, and they are not afraid and do not run away. Also we feel that Bigfoot relates to the horses because they are game animals.

Question: What type of creature do you think Bigfoot is? Do you think he is interdimensional and that is why we have never captured one? Some people see UFOs after a Bigfoot sighting, do you think there is a connection?

Answer: I think Bigfoot is the missing link in the human evolution. I don't believe he is interdimensional. I think they are biological creatures. As far as people seeing UFO's after a Bigfoot sighting, I cannot say for sure why that would be. I don't know if there is a connection or not.
