The truth about... ghosts

Let me tell you a TRUE ghost story. When I was in the military I spent three years on Fort Knox in military housing. The house I ended up in was one of the oldest on the base. Now when I first walked in it was a perfectly normal house. No bad vibes, just an old house. I first moved in during July of 1999. I had been in the house, with my family, for just a little over a month. In late August at exactly 4:00 AM the fire alarm went off. I get out of bed, run down the stairs, grab the fire extinguisher and find nothing. No smoke and no fire, just a fire alarm that won’t turn off. I have to take out the battery and unplug it from the ceiling to finally get it off. In about a month I forget all about it. One year later it happens again. At first I didn’t remember when this happened last year. In fact not until later in the day did I remember that the exact same thing happened the previous year. Now had it been a regular thing I could blame it on bad wiring, the neighbors smoking or some other rational explanation. It didn’t though. This only happened on a specific date and a specific time. My third year in the house naturally it happened again. The only difference was that I expected it. I calmly got out of bed walked down stairs and unplugged the fire alarm. The only other thing I could add was just an unpleasant feeling. Just a feeling that I wasn’t alone and that whoever else was there didn’t like me. And that is my true ghost story.
Now let’s examine the ghost phenomenon. First let’s look at two basic ground rules.
1. Ghosts are almost always centered on a specific area.
2. Ghosts are almost always focused on a specific event.
Makes sense doesn’t it. Why wouldn’t a ghost find a certain place and stay there and once you’re dead your main focus is going to be about how you died.
So let’s make a few more rules about the effect ghosts have in the real world.
1. A drop in temperature.
2. A feeling that something is there.
3. A tingling followed by your hair “standing up”
4. Telekinetic activity.
Again this still makes sense, if you no longer have a physical body you’re going to be limited on what kind of effect you can have in a physical environment.
Finally let’s make a short list on most people’s belief about what happens when you die.
1. You die on move on to a new realm.
2. You die and your soul is reborn in a new body.
3. You die and that’s it.
Now we run into a problem. Not a single one of those beliefs covers the possibility of ghosts, yet I covered the beliefs of most of the world. We’ll have to guess that at least one of those is right, but they offer no possibility of ghosts. So that leaves us with the question what are ghosts?
Let’s go into elementary physics real quick here. After all don’t physics and ghosts always go together? Everything is made up of building blocks. We call those building blocks molecules. Then you can break molecules down into atoms. Finally we can break atoms down into electrons, protons and neutrons. So no matter what I’m talking about it’s all a form of energy, including people.
All right let’s combine all of this into a theory of ghosts. When you die the body immediately gives off energy. The brain, spine and heart all stop producing electricity. The lungs stop working. Everything shuts down. What’s left of you, the personality is gone. Now according to what we said before when that happens the personality or soul has left one way or another. However isn’t it possible that something has left behind an impression? The energy that was your mind has to go somewhere. It isn’t destroyed, it can’t disappear. So it has to go somewhere. The theory I’m offering is that energy is absorbed by the surroundings. An impression is left behind on the area around you. Normally this doesn’t matter. But in a few rare cases a very strong impression is left behind.
The rules I made are now going to be very important. For the first two, they fit into this theory perfectly. The ghost is stuck at a specific place, where the impression was first made. The event is also very important since the level of energy generated must reach a certain level. We can say this and believe it because without a certain required energy level, not a single place would be without ghosts.
The second set of rules is even more important. A temperature drop is a very important here. When the air grows cold what you’re actually feeling is the loss of energy in the air. You’re also feeling a loss of energy from yourself. The molecules of the area are slowing down. Something is literally sucking the energy from the area. Next we have the feeling that you’re not alone. Almost as if a presence is awakening. As the area loses energy the impression left behind is gaining energy forming a limited awareness. All of a sudden you’re not alone anymore. The next two rules are related. With the energy in the area suddenly starts moving it generates an electromagnetic field. The hair on the back of your neck would stand up, the same way it stands up when you’re close to a lightning strike. Through magnetism you can generate telekinetic activity. Objects float, things fly around the room, and electric devices start going haywire. All signs of ghost activity. So the next time you run into a ghost don’t worry too much. It’s a natural activity.
Please feel free to post any comments you have at my thread.
http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=21344Recommended Comic- This week I’m going to go with one of my all time favorites Arsenic Lullaby. It’s disgusting, offensive and hilarious.
Recommended Movie- One of my top ten movies of all time Donnie Darko. I’m hoping they’ll re-release it on DVD soon since they just gave it another run in the theaters.
Recommended CD- Dr. Dre Chronic 2001. I can’t stop listening to this one right now there’s about ten songs I will listen to over and over whenever I’m in the car.
