Sorry for adding a comment to my own pic. I know it's not very good and I can handle criticism. I am just totally obsessed with finding the picture again. I drew this from memory. I can't remember where or what I was searhcing, but after I shut down PC I was thinking this was an unusual cat. It was very black with at least one large white stripe up the side of the face; sort of zebra-like. I just want to see it again and find out more about it. I was convinced at the time that it was a real cat, although it looked more like a "black panther" than a tiger. I have searched and ...

It may be a very good possibility you saw a Thylacine, better knwon as the Tasmanian Tiger. The stripes and cat-like appearence do seem to correlate. http://www.naturalworlds.org/thylacine/

Thanks for the comment. I am still looking for the original pic. I am beginning to think it is an avatar. I think someone put the stripes on a picture of a black panther. I know my drawing is not too good, but it is definately not a thylacine. Thank you, though.

hmm... I've seen this pic somewhere before, I just can't seem to remember. A textbook maybe, or possibly some kind of prehistoric panther? I don't know, but I've seen it somewhere. I swears it!
