Stonehenge has intrigued archaeologists for centuries and remains one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. But what do we really know about Stonehenge and how many other similar stone circles are there ?
Stonehenge. It should be safe to say that when we think about what that word stands for, it conjures up images most of us have seen. Huge stones, megaliths - aligned in a circle, just massive. A prehistoric landmark, a mystery, that has eluded us all for centuries. "

ancient people worships nature, and one visible and powerful form is the sun, these disc formation of stones (which i think depicts the sun) are constructed in honor of their diety, great and ancient civilizations are sun worshippers, egyptians, greeks, and even romans (the halo of angels, and saints is actually a derivation from the sun disc which the pagans worshipped).
