An unidentified creature that bears a close resemblence to last year's "Montauk Monster" has washed up on New York's coastline. The carcass is being kept in a cooler full of ice until more about it can be determined.
An odd creature has apparently washed up on New York's coast, sparking claims that it may be another so-called "Montauk Monster." A similar carcass sparked an online and media frenzy last July after appearing at a popular surfing spot near Montauk, N.Y."

take another look at that photo. specially the front paw in the chest. No dog i know of has fingers. This animal also seems to have some webbing in the fingers for swimming. As I stated this might be another case of the platypus face animal call. When the platypus was first sent to Europe they thought it was a joke even a stitched together animal. Racoons have fingers and there's no platypus with canine teeth.

Racoons have fingers and there's no platypus with canine teeth. I added the fingers. Rick roll fan wrote that the Montaur monster was "flicking [me] off". Reading really quickly, I read this as "flipping me off". Then I thought, "... wow, that would be an interesting image". The real Montauk monster had pointy undifferentiated feet like a hooved animal with the hooves rotted off. I never saw a platypus skull before.... So the duckbill isn't really a bill after all.

The pic from the OP actually looks a lot like a bear to me. But, it could also be a sheep or pig or whatever too.

It looks like a bloated carcass of a dog.

When the ocean has it's way with a corpse or cadavers, the waves mutilate more than you could ever imagine... They can basically make a man look like a monster or a sheep that strayed too close to the rip tide, look like a mermaid. I've worked with the RNLI for many a year now and have pulled bodies out of the water that the crabs have had their ways with on numerous occasions that it would lead me to believe simply that without an autopsy, this creature could be ANYTHING. The million dollar question is will there be one performed and if so will the results be exposed? Species upon species die... [More]

Weird looking thing...looks like some kind of bear. And I'll agree that the sea can really mess a body up.

Maybe an undiscovered creature related to pigs.

Yea quite strange looking, the sea does decay things alot, but does nobody actually put these mysteries to rest and do some tests to find out what type of animal this is? or are they simply swept under the carpet an forgot about?
