A teenager on his way to school looked up to see a white-hot meteorite travelling towards him at 30,000mph, the object struck his hand before hitting the ground with such force that it left a three-foot crater in the tarmac.
A teenager was hit by a meteorite travelling at 30,000mph - and lived to tell the tale. Gerrit Blank was on his way to school when he saw a massive fireball heading straight towards him from the sky."

How do the uniformitarians explain this? "Stones cannot fall from the sky because there are no stones in the sky!" -- Antoine L. Lavoisier, chemist, 1790 Antoine has a point

I'm sure he'll be telling that story in bars when he is older. Maybe he can use it to make some money as well.

Wait, I don't get it. How does the meteorite bounce off his hand then hit the ground creating a foot-wide crater?? It must have tore a hole through his hand... I think Jerry Seinfeld said it best: "According to your story, Hernandez passes you and starts walking up the ramp. Then you say you were struck on the right temple. The spit then proceeds to ricochet off the temple striking Newman between the third and fourth rib. The spit then came off the rib turned and hit Newman in the right wrist causing him to drop his baseball cap. The spit then splashed off the wrist, pauses — in mid air, min... [More]

If I was him I would have screamed my head off. That would have scared the skeleton out of me seeing a meteor rocketing at me. He's pretty lucky he only got a scratch... Or a gash. Everyone at school's gonna call him Lucky now or something. That must have been quite a sight to see a crater boom into exisitence right at his feet. I wonder how that's even possible if it first bounced out of his hand...

LMAO...a story for his descendants.... 80 years later: Did you know your great-great-grandfather was hit by a meteorite on the hand and lived to tell the story? "Sure...grandpa, whatever you say. Did you take your meds today?"
