Biggest so far? How big is the one in the article pic? It appears to me to be at least that long. Unless the man in the pic is seriously far away or very short. From the shadow of the rope, I'd say he was very close. But these are all according to, where is the specimen or pictures verifying the length? Pictures can be deceptive or faked, so then are you suggesting that every large gator simply be killed and brought in to the government for measurements? If Monster Quest can find a 16 footer, I'm sure that if someone else went looking then longer ones will be found.

Since Mother Nature kills off animals on a regular basis, I suggest we give her a hand. Keep the Grizzlies and Polar Bears but dust off a few worthless animals in their place. I suggest as starters: Excepting the turtles, all reptiles over 1 ft long, all mosquitos, ticks, lice, chiggers, roaches, fire ants, termites, and jellyfish, plus poison oak and crab grass. This story is old news but, here is a video on Gustave!! I think he's been spotted recently if I'm not mistaken. He was last seen in January of this year.
