Climate change helped the Incas

It is believed that a warm period between AD1100 and 1533 was pivotal to the success of the Incan civilization, providing large areas of fertile mountain land for farming and helping the Incas spread their influence across South America.
Their warfare, building and agricultural skills may have been impressive but, according to scientists in Peru, the Incas would have been nothing without good weather induced by climate change.
