A computer has successfully managed to translate an ancient written language used in Biblical times.
A new computer program has quickly deciphered a written language last used in Biblical times—possibly opening the door to "resurrecting" ancient texts that are no longer understood, scientists announced last week.

It would be very interesting to see with my own eyes, the program in action, on a language with no known relations with other languages, although I'd be skeptical in the literal translation of what the program spits out. As it is a program I am assuming it might come with its own host of issues that might crop up, i.e. (*error in traslation, please shut down and restart again*) Nice read IMO.

There is programs that reconstruct proto-languages. Ives Goddard's department at Smithsonian reconstructed Proto-Algonquian using this program. Cool stuff but I'm crappy in the linguistic department. Lapiche
