Artificial meat could feed billions by 2050

Leading scientists have said that meat grown in vats may be needed to feed the population by the year 2050.
Concerns about water and food shortages in the future have been met with more and more radical concepts to combat them, growing artificial meat in large vats is just one method we may be using to feed ourselves in a few decades time.
Artificial meat grown in vats may be needed if the 9 billion people expected to be alive in 2050 are to be adequately fed without destroying the earth, some of the world's leading scientists report today.
