Could your identical twin be living exactly the same life as you in any number of parallel universes ?
An identical copy of you is also reading this story. This twin is the same in every way, living on an Earth and in a universe that looks exactly like our own. And there may be an infinite number of them.

Such doppelgängers could be a natural consequence of our present conception of the universe The same 'pairing' conditions are present in numbers also, the link is to my previous post: My link It's weird watching it dawn on the scientific community that the 'mysteries' it has chased for eons is and always has been its own tail.

It is important to realise the 'superposition' of quantum mechanics may not actually exist except as a mathematical deion. Because of the difficulties inherent in observation of quantum properties, the use of mathematics to describe what those properties could include was used to formalise theories. This does not mean fundamental particles exist in a state of superposition, it only means that is how we have to describe them.

None of this is surprising. Science is finally catching up a bit with metaphysics. Those who sense the truth already know this. And with each minor fork in your road, you create a series of universes living and marking each path you didn't take in this life. And what is more, you learn from them too.

This does not mean fundamental particles exist in a state of superposition, it only means that is how we have to describe them. The only definitive thing we will be able to say is that we will never be able to draw that sort of conclusion or any other. The most untenable idea is that the universe i... [More]

this really really hurts my head and i cant believe people learn this in universities, i always believed as a kid that there were other "me's" doin things the same, different and opposite but what difference can it possibly make? i hate this subject but feel a severe NEED to understand, it makes me feel thick! i wonder if some other me gets it.
