Digitally remastered footage of the Apollo 11 moon landings has been shown for the first time.
The footage was compiled and cleaned up from numerous recordings and sources, taking over six years of meticulous work it constitutes the clearest ever footage of the historic landing by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
After six years of searching and digital restoration, scientists have finally completed remastering footage of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The restored video was shown for the first time on Wednesday at an Australian Geographic magazine awards ceremony, with Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin as guest of honour.

My dad picked up by helicopter the first capsule from the failed rocket launch into space and they used that capsule on the next rocket launch with the monkey, so he started the space age. From there went John Glenn, Niel Armstrong, and all to the moon. Thank you dad!
