10.10.10 marks historic Binary Day

Today is one of those rare dates on which the day, month and year form a binary number.
Bizarrely the date ( 101010 ) when converted in to binary produces the number 42, the famous answer to the life, the universe and everything as found in Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
The date 10/10/10 is fun for anyone who likes binary concepts and history. What will you do on 10/10/10? It seems like a fun date to do some history preservation, so you have some items to preserve with this unusual date stamped on it.

Check this out: My link Thank you, Agent X. Today, 12th, is "Moment of Frustration Day"!!!!! Tomorrow though, is special....International Skeptics Day.....woot wooooo! "We suspect that a real skeptic created this day. And, they did so by first creating doubt about the date to celebrate this special day. We found three dates: January 13th, October 13th, and the first Friday of the year. While Friday the 13th sounds intriguing, we have our doubts.......... We encourage you to celebrate skeptics and skeptical behavior on all three dates!" http://www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/October/intern... [More]

Ahhh missed happy binary day...whens the next one? Well, there's loads in November obviously, (11.01.10 or 01.11.10, depending which way round you look at it) , 01/01/11, 10/10/11, etc. But the really important ones ones are when all the digits are the same e.g., 10.10.10 or 11.11.11.

The problem I have with this, mate, is that the year is 2010, not "10". But am an awkward sod.

what about 11/11/1111? was that ever a date? No, i think they changed it. They changed it a lot in those days. Every other week you'd wake up and find that they'd changed the calendar. It was usually to do with the Pope.

Aye, that's what I was thinking but wasn't sure if i'd read about or just dreamed it. (I have nonsensical dreams a lot of the time) Julian, Gregorian.....I'd have changed it the Maxim calendar.
