The world's hottest chili pepper, the Naga Viper, is so potent that it is hot enough to strip paint.
Created by chili farmer Gerald Fowler by crossing three other excrutiatingly hot peppers the Naga Viper is so hot that not only can it strip paint but defense researchers are investigating its potential for use as a weapon.
Fiery food mavens seeking to one-up each other now have to gear up for a whole new test of culinary bravado: the world's hottest chili pepper.
