Mike and Greg Warner have returned from their latest search for evidence of the giant anaconda.
The two Warners believe that the Giant Anaconda ( or Black Boa as the local tribes call it ) is a real creature that was discovered in the Peruvain Amazon in March 2009. In their latest travels they picked up new contemporary accounts of the creature and hope to release them soon.
[ E-mail distribution] The Warner's have returned from their travels (Mike to North America) and (Greg to South America) where they continued their research into the their discoveries that solve the riddle of the 'giant anaconda'; now known as the Black Boa or Yacumama. Amazingly, both Mike and Greg encountered new, contemporary reports of the Black Boa which will be released soon.
This is the one that was said to be a sandbank, right? If it is, I'd like to say that I don't understand how a creature that size (almost to big to fit in the river) could survive. What would it eat that would be big enough and wouldn't run away?
Being a reptile, from what I know (not much), being as big as that...It'd have to eat a whale, or many giant great whites. Then It'll lay dormant for a long, long time. If that'd be the only one photographed, I'd rest easy...that ****'ll take years to digest.

Agreed 100% ...when I saw the photo they claim to be a giant snake I wrote it off completely ..all I see is a muddy river bank & if the picture (added below) is to be believed that thing would have to be over 500 feet long
A snake wouldn't be 500 feet long. Possibly a tenth that size I could see. Even that would be the extreme upper limit. If a black boa does exist, it's likely forty or so. Still a monster to humans, but not impossibly so. If we were looking at an actual 500 foot long "snake" I'd be more inclined to say mobile vines or something out of sci fi movies. Plant form.
The way I see it, ther's a problem, (or two) with hunting giant snakes. Can you reliably track said behemoth, or are you simply following a common trail? Once you've determined that it is in fact a trail, do you actually find the snake, or do you accidently run right into it? There is a difference between the two. If you find it by looking for it you're filled with excitement and wonder. Where as if you walk right into it your first reaction is to whimper, "Mommy", and have a maalox moment. So, after the initial reaction, (Be it excitement and wonder, or a change of pants), how does one really... [More]
I would think this expedition was to document that these creatures exists thru pictures and videos. Not to "capture" it. In terms of faking (PhotoShoping) the photos... well its not hard to determine if the pictures have been manipulated. IMO.
It's really interesting. If they do find that something exists then yeah, wandering around somewhat randomly would be the best way to go. You would have to stay with the native tribes for a while, just kind of hope to see because apparently, they do.

The thing is, the snake is supposed to be well over a 100 feet (just look at the pictures). Not anomaly-size, new york-terrorizing-monster-size. That's even worse. I was just trying to be conservative with my size estimation. 100+ feet, I really wouldn't want to be the guy that grabbed it by it's head.
