An Israeli team has developed software that can determine who wrote which parts of the Bible.
The software is able to analyze style and word choice in order to distinguish different authors, in the case of the Bible is was able to pick out distinctions between the parts written by one author and the parts written by another.
Software developed by an Israeli team is giving intriguing new hints about what researchers believe to be the multiple hands that wrote the Bible. The new software analyzes style and word choices to distinguish parts of a single text written by different authors, and when applied to the Bible its algorithm teased out distinct writerly voices in the holy book.

I think that it requires an open minded believer to see through the minute changes and get the big messages. If you truly believe in what the message says about God, then ideas that can only be strongly supported, not proved, will not get you hung up. People speak of multiple translations and multiple writers as though its sufficient reason not to believe what is being said. I read a shirt the other day from what appeared to be an African immigrant that said something like, "Every theory is a self-fulfilling prophecy that orders experience into the framework it provides." I didn't catch who sa... [More]

The Bible was only written by Jews starting with Adam who gave the oral version until the Book of Job which is the oldest book of the Bible. Moses wrote the first 5 book of the Bible including Genesis, which is a book about beginnings. "Gen" means beginnings. Down through thousands of years prophets and priests added to the Bible as God divinely inspired them. There are no contradictions. From the many prophecies hundreds of years before they happened which came true, such as the fall of Babylon by Cyrus. The many prophecies concerning the crucifixion of Christ before such execution was even p... [More]

My question is, how did they know what events took place beforehand anyway? How could the bible be factual at all, just think about it for a second. It's a construct to use people for the will of a controlling force. I don't need a book to tell me how to be a good person. I don't need some unproven, most likely non-existent external energy or being to give me wilpower or strength. Religion has been spread by fear in the past and continues like that today, how is that "good" at all. If God really exists, I think Satan would be the one running the show. Satan actually overthrew him and in the bi... [More]
