Physicists confirm existence of new particle

Boffins at Fermilab's particle accelerator Tevatron have discovered a new particle - the Xi-sub-b baryon.
The existence of the new particle has long been predicted but hadn't been observed until now. Scientists were able to observe the particle 25 times during a series of experiments that saw it decay after travelling only a fraction of a millimeter.
Baryons are particles formed of three quarks, in different configurations. The proton is a baryon that consists of two up and one down quark, and the neutron is two down and one up.

Thanks for the vids ^^ Now, I'm hopeful and it gives me time to master the whole telekinesis thing. Ahhhh, what a kick ass Jedi I'd be, lol.

Just so people don't get too excited, this is not the so called "god particle."

Correct Marharthm. That's the Higgs-Boson.

At least we're one step closer to proving that light is simply our minds ability to percieve changing gravitational effects from changing differential potential between particles. Does this mean Luke was actually a visualization Sabre?

Why spend so much money on stuff i can do. Argh. besides who knows, this kind of thing could get you in a lot of trouble

Discovery was made just a few months (weeks???) before closing definitely Fermilab? How useful!

besides who knows, this kind of thing could get you in a lot of trouble Yes, scientists are getting in to trouble all the time with all that intelligence and know how. Why there are Gangs of rowdy Scientists running the streets at night, being chased by Police, because of all the trouble they cause.

Does this mean Luke was actually a visualization Sabre? I'm pretty sure Luke was a whiney emo kid growing up in the desert. Now the weapon Obi-Wan had him trained to use, you could be onto something with that.

This does not surprise me at all. The other day I was doing my housework thinking about particles (like you do) and I felt that, with time, other particles not yet documented in science will become 'real', rather than considered a fiction, that are relevant to many things such as 'mind power', chi, telekinesis, etc. Don't know exactly what this is relevant to.. still doing the reading, but it's an inspiring discovery!

ddont forget this isnt even the surface since every particaly has something that build it up
